Facing a potential contract termination from the largest Delaware health insurer, ​Bayhealth recognize​d​ the need to act quickly and develop a strategic communications plan​ to put itself and its patients in the best position if the termination occurred.​ ​We worked with Bayhealth to tell its side of the story, position the system in the best possible light with key audiences — particularly with elected officials because they ha​d the potential to intervene in contract negotiations and communicate clearly and directly about its decision. ​This allowed Bayhealth to come to the negotiating table on even footing and led to a contract that benefited both parties and did not disrupt care for residents of central and southern Delaware. ​
