Auckland Council, responsible for a large and diverse portfolio of over 3,500 properties, sought to systematically reduce energy consumption across its facilities, which include administration buildings, libraries, and leisure centers. To tackle this challenge, the council partnered with BraveGen to implement its sophisticated monitoring and analytical tools, including the BraveGen Hub cloud analytics platform, to gain detailed insight into energy use.

BraveGen installed its monitoring equipment on nearly 70 sites, providing continuous data collection and analysis. This solution enabled the Auckland Council team to identify and implement specific energy-saving projects. The results were significant, putting the council on track for a 13.2% energy reduction and $1.5 million in annual operational savings, while also avoiding 1,231 tonnes of CO2-e emissions. BraveGen’s system provided the critical data needed to efficiently manage the portfolio and achieve these sustainability goals.
