A Brandfolder Case Study
Giant Bicycles, the world’s largest bike manufacturer, faced the challenge of building a single, cohesive brand that resonates with every type of rider—from family and commuter cyclists to pros—while cutting through the “noisy” retail environment and supporting diverse dealer needs. The company also needed to create distinct, authentic sub-brands (notably Liv, a women-focused line) without diluting the core mission to “create the ultimate riding experience for all types of riders.”
Giant addressed this by anchoring everything to a clear top‑level mission and deep in-house expertise: end-to-end manufacturing control, athlete partnerships for product feedback, and a dedicated 3F design philosophy for Liv. Operational solutions include a Retail Partnership Program, Giant Retail Academy for dealer education, focused retail design, and digital marketing leadership. The result is stronger product development and brand consistency across segments, improved retail experiences and dealer support, and measurable engagement growth—especially among women riders—backed by real-world testing with pro teams.
