A Brandemix Case Study
EPIC Long Island, formerly Epilepsy Foundation of Long Island (EFLI), needed a refreshed brand to reflect a broader mission beyond epilepsy and better serve people with physical, intellectual, and emotional challenges, along with their families and friends. Brandemix was brought in to help redefine the organization’s identity through branding and corporate communications work.
Brandemix led focus groups with staff, clients, and families, then recommended a new name: EPIC, an acronym for “Extraordinary People In Care.” The rebrand helped clarify the organization’s expanded purpose and unify internal leadership around a stronger, more inclusive brand direction, though no specific quantitative results were provided.
