SkinVision, a certified skin‑cancer awareness and tracking app founded in 2012 with 1.2 million users, helps people detect melanoma, SCC, BCC and other lesions early. Because users only need the app occasionally and strict privacy rules limit what can be shared by email, the marketing team faced a complex challenge: send the right message at the right time and reliably route people to the correct in‑app destination (onboarding, photo upload, or results) without leaking sensitive data.
SkinVision deployed Branch’s mobile linking platform across 40 campaigns, using deep links and QR codes to take users straight to the appropriate app screen, enable co‑branding with insurers, and simplify the journey. The change removed steps and friction, and in six months 22,000 users returned to the app and submitted health and outcome feedback—greatly increasing data for algorithm training and improving engagement and conversion.
