Peet’s Coffee, a longtime specialty coffee retailer, faced sudden pandemic-driven shifts that required fast, clear ways for customers to order ahead and access loyalty benefits. With social distancing and changing expectations, Peet’s needed to ramp up order-ahead messaging and drive app adoption while keeping the in-store experience seamless.
Using Branch’s mobile linking, QR codes, Journeys, and attribution tools, Peet’s routed customers directly to loyalty, rewards, and menu pages in-app, A/B tested web-to-app interstitials without engineering, and tracked real-time campaign revenue. The result: a peak 4.5× increase in attributed purchases (now ~3× monthly), Journeys-driven users with 2–3× higher AOV than organic app users, and Branch Journeys accounting for 10% of new loyalty members—plus clearer ROI visibility for leadership.
