Mobile-First La Redoute Increases 30-day Retention by 29% Using Branch Journeys

La Redoute, a 184-year-old French retailer with a mobile-first strategy and an app in seven European countries, needed a way to convert its large mobile web audience into app users to boost engagement, revenue, and loyalty. The company sought a solution to promote the app from its mobile site without disrupting the user experience.

La Redoute deployed Branch Journeys’ customizable web-to-app banners and interstitials—targeting users by behavior, scheduling promotions, and A/B testing creatives—to drive installs and re-engagement (including an “Appli Hours” promotion). The campaigns delivered strong results: 30-day retention for users acquired via Journeys was 29% higher than paid-ad users and 26% higher than organic users; acquired users were twice as likely to purchase and spent on average 3× more.
