LBB Drives Organic Engagement and Improves Web to App Conversions with Branch

LBB, a discovery and recommendation marketplace with over 20 million users and 100,000 business listings, wanted to grow its mobile app organically rather than rely on paid ads. With heavy traffic from social, referrals and mobile web, LBB needed a seamless way to convert those visitors into app users while preserving a consistent cross‑channel experience.

LBB used Branch Journeys and deep linking—adding personalized smart banners/interstitials, a custom quarter‑page banner and product‑level Branch links in social and in‑app sharing—to send users to specific app content (with deferred deep linking after install). The changes drove a 3x increase in web‑to‑app conversion (July 2019–July 2020), 30% click‑to‑install on banners, a 50% rise in app opens from social/sharing clicks, and non‑paid organic growth of 3x on Android and 4x on iOS.
