How Shake Shack Leveraged Branch’s Mobile Linking Platform To Accelerate Growth

Shake Shack, the fast-casual restaurant brand with more than 470 locations, wanted to accelerate app acquisition and improve the mobile guest experience as its digital presence grew. To better measure campaign effectiveness and optimize ROI, it turned to Branch and its linking and attribution platform, including Journeys smart banners, QR codes, Quick Links, and other mobile web tools.

Branch helped Shake Shack guide high-intent web visitors into the app, promote limited-time offers, and use attribution data and custom exports to improve marketing efficiency. In a 2022 campaign, Branch-powered Journeys smart banners drove over 100,000 app installs, improved click-to-install performance, and users acquired through these journeys showed a higher average order value than the average digital guest.
