Hibbett | City Gear Provides a Seamless Shopping Experience With Branch

Hibbett | City Gear, a leading athletic-inspired retailer with about 1,100 stores, needed to make its in‑app “raffle” launches for limited‑edition sneakers easy to find and use. The challenge was to remove friction around finding, downloading and navigating to specific raffles, and to streamline onboarding so new users immediately saw the app’s value and were more likely to adopt it long term.

Hibbett | City Gear implemented Branch’s deferred deep linking and web‑to‑app banners (Journeys) to place dynamic CTAs on mobile product and launch calendar pages and reuse the same links across email, social and SMS. This preserved click context through install, routed users directly to relevant in‑app content, and drove organic installs and engagement—resulting in a 46.4% click‑to‑install rate, 69% increase in monthly active users, 228% increase in daily active users, and 51% more new users.
