Checkout 51 is a mobile-first rebate app that rewards grocery shoppers with deals and cashback. Although they used paid ads to re-engage users, clicks routed everyone to the App Store instead of in-app content, creating a disjointed experience that drove 30,000–40,000 users to drop off each week.
By adding Branch Universal Ads and deep links, Checkout 51 routed existing users directly to the specific in-app offer in each ad (and applied relevant promotions), while gaining cross-platform conversion tracking. The change lifted click-to-open rates from 50% to 93% in one month and increased conversions by 10% among users who engaged with the deep-linked remarketing ads.
