CVS Pharmacy - Customer Case Study

CVS Pharmacy implemented the Branch app to solve persistent scheduling and communication problems across its stores. In interviews, Marisa Montecino (an Inventory Specialist) described a pharmacy team of 10 users (herself, 2 pharmacists and 7 technicians) and Charles Turner (a Store Manager) reported 8 employees using the app. Before Branch, schedules were only visible at work, time-off and shift swaps were handled by posting notes on a manager’s door, and managers had to repeatedly relay the same messages—creating confusion and scheduling disputes.

Branch gave CVS a simple mobile workflow for posting schedules, requesting time off, swapping shifts, sending push notifications, and team chat. Managers can upload schedules (even by photo) and broadcast messages, while employees see schedules and receive shift alerts in their pockets. The result, according to both employees, is faster, clearer communication, fewer ad-hoc texts, better accountability and on-time attendance, and saved manager time—demonstrating effective adoption of Branch at these CVS locations.
