Microsoft sought to boost adoption of its Microsoft 365 Copilot tool for a cohort of 73 customers who were experiencing below-average usage rates. The challenge was to maximize the value of the customers' investment by ensuring end-users could effectively leverage the new AI tool. To address this, Microsoft partnered with vendor BrainStorm Inc. to build a scalable adoption program.
BrainStorm implemented its software adoption platform, providing customers with access to two specific Microsoft 365 Copilot content packs for pre-flight preparation and getting started. The solution used adaptive training workflows and automated marketing communications to drive engagement. The results were significant: the program yielded a sustained 50% average increase in monthly active users and drove the addition of 56,557 new Microsoft 365 Copilot licenses across the customer cohort.
