The customer, HVW (Hulpkas voor Werkloosheidsuitkeringen), a public institution for unemployment benefits, faced a considerable administrative burden from manually processing over 100 types of daily paper documents. To optimize this process and reduce errors, HVW sought an innovative solution and partnered with vendor Brainjar to implement the E-digit AI application.

Brainjar developed a user-friendly AI tool that was trained to recognize handwritten data with 99% accuracy, automating a significant part of the manual digitization work. The solution, which still incorporates human validation, has already processed over 100,000 documents. With about 100 employees using it daily, E-digit from Brainjar now handles 30% of the work via automatic recognition, substantially increasing efficiency.
