Case Study: Decathlon improves production monitoring and OEE with Braincube's Edge Factory Box

A Braincube Case Study

Preview of the Decathlon Case Study

Decathlon leverages data streams to improve daily performance and sprints towards 4.0

Decathlon, a major sporting goods retailer and manufacturer, sought to accelerate the digitalization of its bicycle production plant in France to meet Industry 4.0 standards. Their challenge was to move beyond inefficient manual data collection processes to better monitor and control production, improve overall effectiveness, and free employees from data gathering to focus on analysis. To address this, Decathlon selected the Siemens Edge Factory Box powered by Braincube Apps.

Braincube's solution provided a minimally intrusive platform to automate data collection and centralization from their existing equipment. Using Braincube's apps, including the Data Flows Manager and Counter App, Decathlon gained a clear, live view of its production performance and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) through customized dashboards. This enabled them to track machine performance, share data instantly, and adapt to production contingencies in real time, ultimately improving daily operational performance and sprinting towards its smart factory goals.
