BPM-D assisted a global tanker shipping company with the challenge of transferring a large volume of inflight procurement orders from a legacy system to a new ERP before decommissioning. The manual transfer process was slow, error-prone, and risked not meeting the eight-week deadline for moving 1,200 orders comprising 10,000 line items.

The solution implemented by BPM-D utilized Robotic Process Automation (RPA) to automate the repetitive, rules-based data entry tasks. The configured robot could process line items in 35 seconds without error or fatigue, cutting the time to add 200 items to an order from 4 hours to just 2 hours.
