NEC Laboratories America, a research arm of NEC with about 100 full‑time researchers, needed to replace a 17‑year‑old hybrid legacy document system that lacked fully automated workflows, electronic signatures and easy tracking. BP Logix implemented Process Director as NEC Labs’ new IP Document Management system and migrated 15,000 documents and 20,000 records from the legacy platform, delivering real‑time status visibility, automated approval paths and reduced administrative overhead. The result: faster, more accountable approvals (administrators can see document status on a single screen), growing demand to automate more processes, and positive feedback on BP Logix’s responsiveness and total cost of ownership.
