The Turing Trust - Customer Case Study

The Turing Trust, a charity supporting education in Africa through IT reuse, helped housing developer Thirteen Group address the challenge of disposing of their old ICT equipment. The process was typically costly, time-consuming, and required stringent data destruction protocols. Thirteen wanted a solution that was both secure and aligned with their environmental and social goals.

With assistance from vendor boxxe, a process was established to donate equipment to The Turing Trust. The Trust provided free, accredited data destruction and refurbished the devices for schools. This solution allowed Thirteen to securely dispose of 54 PCs, saving 80% on their previous recycling costs. The donation offset 31 tonnes of CO2 emissions and provided essential IT equipment for over 1,150 students in Malawi.
