Wycliffe Bible Translators - Customer Case Study

Wycliffe Bible Translators, a global nonprofit based in Orlando that streams internal meetings, weekly chapel sessions and organizational events, faced unreliable streaming quality and cumbersome workflows with previous providers. They needed an HEVC hardware encoder with a monitoring screen that could be started and managed in the cloud and connect via ethernet or Wi‑Fi to handle locations with limited internet — requirements met by BoxCast’s BoxCaster Pro.

BoxCast implemented a solution where three cameras and an audio console feed a Blackmagic ATEM Switcher into the BoxCaster Pro via SDI, using HEVC compression and BoxCast cloud recording. The result: improved live‑streaming performance on marginal networks, a more streamlined workflow (cloud recording, in‑dashboard trimming, and direct export to Vimeo instead of manual uploads), and markedly better stream quality — the HEVC feature on the BoxCaster Pro has been a game changer for Wycliffe.
