U21 Deaf World Basketball Championships - Customer Case Study

The U21 Deaf World Basketball Championships needed to broadcast a 10-day international tournament to fans and family around the world while keeping production simple with a small crew. To meet that challenge, organizers (USA Deaf Basketball Federation) partnered with BoxCast, using the BoxCast platform and BoxCaster hardware alongside a Canon VIXIA HF G40 and the BoxCast Wireless Scoreboard Adapter to capture and deliver the games.

BoxCast implemented a one-camera workflow (Canon VIXIA HF G40 → BoxCaster) with live scoreboard overlays sent via the BoxCast Wireless Scoreboard Adapter and streamed the event on the tournament page with paid channel tickets. The solution produced high-quality broadcasts, allowed onsite monitoring for officials, attracted 12,561 viewers worldwide, and generated event revenue through ticket sales.
