St. Lawrence University needed a reliable, affordable way to broadcast athletics and campus events in HD despite limited staff and tight budgets, so they turned to BoxCast and its BoxCaster units to make streaming practical and simple. The university wanted portable, easy “click-and-go” equipment to reach families, alumni and prospective students without charging viewers.

BoxCast deployed four BoxCasters to stream over 140 home games — including all Division I men’s and women’s hockey — plus commencement and many additional sports, allowing St. Lawrence University to expand coverage into soccer, football, volleyball, lacrosse, track, squash, baseball, softball and more. The result: overwhelmingly positive viewer feedback, free HD streams that became a recruiting tool for coaches, built-in scoreboard features, and strong support from BoxCast (including rapid hand-delivery and ongoing firmware updates) that boosted reliability and reach.
