Maryville College, led by Sports Information Director Eric Etchison, needed a streaming solution that would integrate live video with Presto Sports’ real-time stats on their website. After three years with another provider, they chose BoxCast and its BoxCaster system to deliver seamless streams with SD/HD options and a pay-per-view model that could generate revenue.
BoxCast deployed BoxCaster across home football, men’s and women’s basketball, volleyball and baseball (with plans to expand to soccer and graduation), plus proactive customer support when a camera issue arose. The BoxCast solution drove about a 15% increase in viewership, helped the college recruit student-athletes from Texas, California, Oregon and Florida, boosted fan engagement, and created new monetization opportunities.
