A BoxCast Case Study
Venture for America, a national nonprofit that recruits and trains recent graduates to grow entrepreneurship in emerging cities, was rapidly expanding (its team doubled from 10 to 20) and found key programs like its five-week Training Camp split staff between Providence and New York. To keep dispersed team members connected and maintain alignment, Venture for America turned to Cleveland-based live video streaming company BoxCast and its easy-to-deploy streaming hardware and platform.
BoxCast streamed Training Camp sessions and the City as a Startup conferences, automatically archiving content so remote staff and donors could watch live or on-demand; VFA reports an overwhelmingly positive response and, after two years, has integrated BoxCast into trainings, events, and regular meetings. The platform boosted transparency for donors, expanded access to expert presentations from partners like IDEO and McKinsey, and kept geographically distributed team members engaged and productive.
