The Metropolitan Police Service transforms London Law

The Metropolitan Police Service of London, the largest police force in the UK serving 8.6 million residents, selected Box as part of its Digital Policing initiative to modernize how it manages content across the organisation. Facing the challenge of consolidating vast amounts of evidence and operational material—like CCTV footage—while reducing travel and the handling of physical media, the Met planned to deploy up to 50,000 Box seats to give staff consistent, secure access to critical data.

By using Box’s cloud content management, the Met created a central online repository for CCTV and other evidence, making it faster to search, share and collaborate without relying on DVDs, USBs or in-person transfers. The change has improved efficiency and effectiveness across the force, supporting the Met’s digital transformation and enabling officers and staff to respond more quickly on the frontline.
