Case Study: Teach For America achieves secure, centralized content collaboration with Box

A Box Case Study

Preview of the Teach For America Case Study

Teach For America Transforming an organization that transforms kids’ lives

Teach For America, a nonprofit that recruits and trains recent graduates to teach in low‑income U.S. communities (nearly 60,000 alumni across 51 regions), was held back by legacy, on‑premises content systems. Storage was inefficient and inconsistent, employees resorted to unsecured third‑party tools, multimedia and certification processes were clumsy, and IT had little visibility or control—creating security, compliance, and collaboration challenges across dispersed teams.

The organization moved content to Box, gaining virtually unlimited cloud storage, secure cross‑device collaboration, centralized governance, and automated workflows (including a custom digital onboarding platform and Box Relay for legal approvals). The switch reduced IT and storage costs, eliminated manual content tasks, improved information flow and multimedia sharing, and freed IT and staff to focus on user enablement and Teach For America’s core mission of supporting teachers and students.
