Schneider Electric Accelerating processes across lines of business

Schneider Electric, a global leader in energy management and automation with more than 142,000 employees across 100+ countries, needed a more agile, mobile- and cloud-first way to manage business processes while ensuring consistent data governance and security across a dispersed workforce. Legacy shared drives and email-based file sharing were slowing sales, vendor orders, legal workflows and supply-chain operations, creating a bottleneck for the company’s digital transformation goals.

Schneider deployed Box (integrated with Office 365, DocuSign and custom APIs) to digitize RFPs, order management, legal and employee-records processes, and to give sales teams on-the-go access to collateral. With granular permissions, auditing, MFA and automated offboarding, the company moved about 90% of content to the cloud, enabled 142,000 active users (plus 100,000 external users), shortened cycle times across functions, accelerated time-to-market, increased productivity and reduced content-related risk across its global operations.
