A Box Case Study
POPSUGAR, a fast-growing online media network producing large volumes of editorial, video and image assets worldwide, faced challenges making that content discoverable, reusable and secure. Years of legacy, untagged material plus globally ingested new content, frequent seasonal publishing cycles, large file sizes and remote teams made manual cataloguing slow and error-prone, hindering workflows, rights management and monetization.
POPSUGAR standardized on Box’s metadata features to centralize assets, add searchable tags (rights, location, brand, etc.), and streamline handoffs between editorial, production and external contractors. The change improved discoverability, enabled secure third‑party access and reuse, supported company-wide workflows (including provisioning and SaaS integrations), and set the team up to adopt automated tagging and richer image recognition to further boost productivity and process efficiency.
