Pacific Dental Services, a nationwide dental support organization with 900+ offices across 25 states, needed a better way to manage the huge volume of content tied to its operations when it renamed “benefit coordinator” to “healthcare coordinator” and was still relying on on-premises file shares and VPN access. The old setup made workflows clunky, encouraged employees to save files locally, and created challenges around secure access, compliance, and document management. Box was the vendor used to help solve these issues.

Box, including Box Shield and Box Relay, became the secure cloud content layer for Pacific Dental Services, with integrations into tools like Workday, Microsoft 365, Salesforce, Okta, and RingCentral. Box Consulting built a custom API to automatically update the job title across distributed content, saving hundreds of hours, while the HR team alone cut storage costs by $5,000 per month. Box also streamlined patient record sharing, provider onboarding, and legal contract filing, improved HIPAA-compliant security, and increased productivity and collaboration across the organization.
