Morgan Stanley Launches Encrypted Document Sharing Portal for Clients in Partnership with Box

Morgan Stanley wanted a more secure way for clients and Financial Advisors to share sensitive wealth-management documents, replacing less secure email-based exchanges. To address this challenge, Morgan Stanley partnered with Box and used Box’s cloud content management capabilities, including Box Platform, Box KeySafe and Box Governance, to power its new “Digital Vault” portal.

With Box, Morgan Stanley launched an encrypted, cloud-based document sharing and storage solution that supports two-way collaboration, mobile access, upload notifications, and interactive commentary. The result was a more secure, efficient, and collaborative client experience, with Box helping Morgan Stanley add an extra layer of encryption and strengthen data privacy and protection for important documents like wills, estate plans, and financial statements.
