The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Farm Production and Conservation (FPAC) needed to rapidly shift 2,500 farm service centers to remote operations during the COVID-19 crisis while continuing to accept applications, review and sign loan and insurance documents, and protect sensitive personal and financial data. The challenge was to enable secure, real-time digital engagement between agency staff and farmers and to modernize workflows across distributed teams.
