San Francisco Travel wanted a better way to market San Francisco to different types of leisure travelers and make sure the right messages reached the right visitors. The association looked for a website personalization solution and chose Bound to help improve website conversion for hotel bookings, ticket purchases, and e-newsletter sign-ups.
Using Bound’s website personalization platform, San Francisco Travel segmented visitors by geography and behavior and dynamically changed homepage content for different audiences, including new and repeat visitors. The results included a 45% increase in pages per visit, a 50% increase in average visit duration, and a 54% decrease in bounce rate. The association also reported that repeat visitors converted at a 33% higher overall rate than first-time visitors, and hotel bookings for repeat visitors converted at a 43% higher rate.
