FIBA reaches 72K conversations in 2 weeks with BotsCrew

FIBA, the global governing authority for basketball, wanted to enhance fan engagement for its 2023 World Cup by giving its official mascot, JIP, a voice. Their challenge was to develop a GPT-powered chatbot capable of interacting with fans in five different languages in real time, providing timely and accurate tournament information. They engaged the vendor BotsCrew to build this solution.

BotsCrew implemented a multilingual chatbot named JIP, built on their own platform and powered by GPT-4. The solution was integrated with FIBA's API for real-time updates and could handle multiple concurrent requests. The results were significant, with the chatbot holding over 72,000 conversations in just two weeks across web and Facebook Messenger, and 71.51% of users successfully completing their interactions.
