Christian Aid worked with The Bot Platform to support Christian Aid Week, an annual fundraising campaign. Their challenge was to create an engaging, empathetic bot that could highlight the charity’s work in Haiti, grow a subscriber base, drive traffic to the website, strengthen the brand’s mission, and encourage donations.

The Bot Platform built a conversational bot centered on Victoria, a Senior Programme Officer in Haiti, so users could hear stories from the region, learn about Christian Aid’s history and relief efforts, and understand how donations help. In just 4 weeks, the bot was used by over 9,000 people, generated 125,000 automated messages, achieved 53% higher engagement than Virgin Trains, and helped the campaign win Best Social Media Campaign of the Year at the UK Digital Growth Awards.
