Move_UK, a project exploring automated driving systems, faced the challenge of efficiently validating these systems due to the vast amounts of data generated by autonomous vehicles. Their goal was to find a more efficient method to mine this data without having to capture and evaluate every single piece of information. They partnered with Bosch IoT Suite, specifically using its Bosch IoT Insights service, to address this challenge.

The solution implemented by Bosch IoT Suite involved an event-based approach where data was only recorded and transmitted during specific, triggered events rather than continuously. The Bosch IoT Suite received, processed, and visualized this synchronized vehicle data, allowing for near real-time analysis. This method proved successful, as the Move_UK project established that it is possible to reliably validate automated driving systems without capturing the entire data stream, thereby saving significant time and reducing costs.
