Busch Jaeger needed a flexible, secure, and long‑lived smart‑home controller that could be updated and extended without replacing hardware. To address this, Busch Jaeger developed the ComfortTouch controller on Java/OSGi and partnered with Bosch IoT Suite—using Bosch IoT Gateway and Bosch IoT Remote Manager components—together with Azul’s JVM to provide connectivity, device management, and secure remote software deployment.

Using Bosch IoT Suite, Busch Jaeger delivered a KNX‑based, wall‑mounted ComfortTouch that controls lighting, heating, windows, blinds and sensors, and offers Wi‑Fi and mobile remote control. Bosch IoT Suite enabled secure remote updates and centralized device management, producing a robust, resilient, and user‑friendly system that readily accommodates new applications and extends the product’s operational lifespan.
