A Booqable Case Study
UTwente Interaction Lab at the University of Twente needed a better way to manage a growing pool of shared equipment for students and researchers. Their old process relied on A1 paper sign-up sheets and scattered inventory, which made it hard to track what was available, risked double bookings and shortages, and became especially inefficient during the pandemic. They turned to Booqable rental software after lab-focused tools didn’t fully meet their needs.
With Booqable, the Interaction Lab gained a central system for inventory management, online bookings, order tracking, reports, and CRM, letting Daniel Davison see what equipment was loaned out, who had it, and what was available. Students and researchers could book equipment through an online portal without needing staff assistance, and the lab reported substantial time savings, fewer headaches, and less manual work. Booqable also helped the lab prepare to expand by making it easier to support more users with less admin overhead.
