The University of Canberra, an Australian higher-education institution, set out to reduce administrative friction for students by creating a unified digital student journey after discovering its services had become fragmented and process‑driven rather than student‑centric. The goal was a single, app‑like experience that would eliminate information gaps, double‑ups and delays across the student lifecycle from enquiry to graduation.
UC chose Boomi’s low‑code integration platform, deploying more than 65 integrations in 10 months to connect 12 core systems (including Callista, Canvas, Allocate Plus and Microsoft Dynamics CRM). The result was a cohesive, personalized service with real‑time access to calendars, course info and results, streamlined backend workflows, higher student engagement and strong satisfaction (around 60% of students rating the platform 5/5), with plans to extend the platform to alumni and future learners.
