Terex Relies on Boomi API Management to Seamlessly Connect Dealers, Partners, Suppliers, and Internal Teams

Terex, a global manufacturer of aerial work platforms and materials processing equipment, faced growing integration complexity as the business expanded organically and through acquisitions. With Oracle eBusiness Suite as its core “mothership,” many point-to-point connections became difficult and time-consuming to build and maintain, so Terex adopted Boomi in 2014 and has since focused on Boomi API Management to execute an API-first strategy that better connects dealers, partners, suppliers, and internal teams.

Using Boomi APIM the integration team built reusable APIs—starting with an order-create API—that enable self-service, replace phone/fax/email processes, and speed development and deployment through a drag-and-drop interface and easy testing. The result is faster, more secure delivery of services, greater reuse and simplified development, a library of APIs for portals and apps, and practical benefits such as dealer notifications for equipment maintenance that improve customer outcomes and reduce costs.
