Smartwyre Simplifies and Manages Commercial Information Complexity for Agribusiness Retailers and Manufacturers

Smartwyre is a Denver-based startup that provides a B2B SaaS platform for agribusiness retailers, distributors, and manufacturers to manage product catalogs, pricing, rebates, and incentive programs. The company had to tame extreme information complexity—thousands of retailers, hundreds of manufacturers, more than 20,000 products, and hundreds to thousands of paper-based rebate documents per customer—while integrating with legacy on-premises accounting systems that only produced flat-file exports.

To solve this, Smartwyre used Boomi to automate flat-file extraction, convert reports to JSON web-service documents, and publish them to Smartwyre’s API with robust testing and error checking. The integration dramatically reduced onboarding time and long consulting engagements, modernized customers’ workflows, and enabled accurate, rules‑based pricing and rebate management that improved margin visibility and reduced pricing errors.
