A Boomi Case Study
SHV Energy, a global LPG distributor operating in 20 countries with more than 17,000 employees, faced a fragmented, legacy-filled IT landscape that limited visibility, slowed customer onboarding, and made integrations costly and time-consuming. The company needed a way to standardize and scale integrations so local operating units could participate in global initiatives (procurement, HR, Salesforce) without losing decentralized agility.
Working with Capgemini Netherlands, SHV Energy built an Integration Competence Center around the Boomi AtomSphere platform, enabling reusable integration patterns, near-real-time data flows, and easier onboarding of global and local applications. The result: five global applications integrated with 30 local systems, improved cost efficiency and time-to-market, stronger in-house integration capability, and the agility to expand into new markets like BioLPG and solar.
