ReMidt Taps the Boomi Platform To Help Meet Norway’s and the EU’s Aggressive Recycling Targets

ReMidt IKS is an inter‑municipal waste management company in central Norway, formed in 2020 and owned by 17 municipalities. Tasked with collecting 90,000 tons of household waste annually and meeting ambitious Norwegian and EU recycling targets, the company needed to simplify dozens of legacy, point‑to‑point systems, adopt an API‑first strategy, and standardize data to enable automated, customer‑centric services.

Using the Boomi platform, ReMidt replaced fragile integrations with low‑code, reusable components and API management, speeding development and making services portable. This allowed ReMidt to standardize data for benchmarking against recycling goals, build a customer self‑service portal in two months, and roll out 20,000 new bins to 60,000 customers—enabling online bin ordering, pickup scheduling, and fee exemptions while freeing staff to focus on complex issues.
