Ritchie Bros., the world’s largest industrial auctioneer, needed to modernize 30-year-old, hard-coded processes to support rapid global growth and a five-year transformation to cloud-based systems. The company sought an enterprise-grade integration platform to connect Salesforce Sales Cloud, Oracle E-Business Suite, DocuSign, IBM AS/400 and proprietary POS and appraisal systems, starting with auction planning/scheduling and customer/contract management.
After a proof of concept, Ritchie Bros. selected Dell Boomi AtomSphere to replace manual interfaces. Boomi’s cloud iPaaS (with on‑premises Atom flexibility) enabled fast, reliable integrations, improved developer usability, higher transaction throughput, fewer errors and greater operational efficiency. Two of 30 transformation projects are complete, and Boomi is the chosen integration technology for the remaining work.
