Queensland Council Boosts Citizen Services With Boomi

Toowoomba Regional Council (TRC), which serves more than 180,000 residents in southeast Queensland, set out to modernize how it delivers digital community services so residents and staff could interact more easily and efficiently. The council was hampered by a manual, point-to-point integration landscape that created data silos, caused errors (including problems with public document access), and forced staff into time-consuming manual data entry and fixes.

TRC implemented the Boomi iPaaS to connect its document management, ERP, property and regulatory systems, development portal, parking and waste systems and IoT partners, removing duplication and routing data to the right processes. The result: document availability and compliance improved, governance and a 360° view of data reduced administrative touchpoints, staff can respond to resident demand in real time, and smart-meter IoT integration automated previously manual water-meter reads.
