A Boomi Case Study
Lakeside Process Controls, a Mississauga-based distributor and service partner for Emerson Automation Solutions founded in 1952, faced a major roadblock to digital transformation: inflexible, costly custom‑coded integrations that required outside consultants and slowed projects across partners using IFS ERP and other systems. The company needed a faster, more flexible way to connect systems, improve visibility, and enable customer-facing innovations.
Lakeside adopted the Boomi AtomSphere low‑code platform (and Boomi Flow) to build integrations in‑house, creating a three‑person team that now manages about 15 integrations and plans more. The move eliminated consultant costs, cut development time by roughly 5–6X, removed manual data entry for nearly 30 staff, powered a customer portal and a shared T&E mobile app, and delivered faster issue resolution, better visibility, and improved customer and partner collaboration.
