JERA Adopts Boomi to Accelerate DX Strategy Using iPaaS to Implement Data Integration for Core Business System on the Cloud

JERA, a joint venture of Tokyo Electric Power Company and Chubu Electric Power Company and one of the world’s largest energy producers, faced a fragmented IT environment after inheriting many on‑premises systems. Siloed data and manual batch processes made it difficult to collect, visualize, and use operational data across power generation, fuel management and trading, undermining the company’s digital transformation and cloud migration goals.

To address this, JERA deployed Boomi’s iPaaS to integrate SAP and peripheral systems as part of a Microsoft Azure migration, completing dozens of interfaces in about two months. The low‑code platform and simple subscription licensing cut development time (to roughly one‑third), reduced build and integration costs, automated data mapping, improved testing, and enabled faster issue detection — establishing a scalable foundation for real‑time data use and future data‑driven services.
