Fred Hollows Foundation Connects Cloud Strategy and People Data With Boomi Integration

The Fred Hollows Foundation is an international charity working to eliminate avoidable blindness in more than 25 countries and has restored sight to over two million people. As it moved to a 100% cloud model with a mix of public cloud and SaaS applications, the foundation faced a major challenge stitching together diverse systems and keeping critical people data synchronized across a hybrid environment—especially to support geographically dispersed and remote staff.

To solve this, the foundation implemented Dell Boomi’s iPaaS to integrate its HR platform with Active Directory, email, file services, workflows and its new project/program management system, plus automated provisioning so new employees receive the correct access immediately. The result is real-time, connected people data that supports KPI reporting (cataract operations, patient demographics and demand), improves operational decision-making, reduces disruption from personnel changes, and ensures staff worldwide have the information needed to deliver more efficient treatments and better patient outcomes.
