Credit Union Eliminates Thousands of Hours of Manual Work While Enhancing Member Experiences

TruStone Financial Credit Union, a not‑for‑profit with about 210,000 members, 23 branches and 535 employees, set out to modernize legacy, siloed systems that made application selection hard and left many processes manually intensive—problems amplified by its 2021 merger. The credit union’s digital transformation goal was to improve member experiences and operational efficiency while moving away from vendor-specific, out‑of‑the‑box integrations and custom coding bottlenecks.

TruStone implemented the Boomi iPaaS (including API Management, Master Data Hub and Flow) to automate routine data tasks—such as caller recognition in the contact center, new account authorizations, Zelle access setup and repetitive PDF processes. The work cut about 1,200 hours in 2022 and is on pace to eliminate up to 6,000 hours in 2023 (roughly three FTEs), doubled integration development speed, enabled more real‑time data use, reduced manual errors, and freed the credit union to adopt best‑of‑breed apps and scale for future growth.
