Crane Worldwide Logistics Drives Client Satisfaction with End-to-End Visibility, Saves 7,700 Hours a Year

Crane Worldwide Logistics is a global supply‑chain and intermodal transport provider headquartered in Houston with more than 3,000 employees and 130+ locations. To deliver end‑to‑end shipment visibility and improve customer satisfaction, Crane needed to replace its legacy IBM Sterling Integrator—an inflexible, code‑heavy EDI and integration tool that slowed onboarding, made monitoring difficult, and limited API-driven expansion.

Crane implemented the Boomi Enterprise Platform in 2020 as a unified, low‑code solution for integration, B2B/EDI, APIs, master data, and workflow automation. Boomi now runs 260 integration processes (≈5,000 executions/hour) and connects 100+ trading partners, cutting partner onboarding from 10–15 days to as little as two, and enabling automation that saved one large client 7,700 hours/year (four FTEs), increased shipments per truck 10×, reduced required trucks by 80%, and improved compliance from 72% to 96%, while delivering much greater customer visibility and satisfaction.
