A Boomi Case Study
Britvic, the UK soft drinks maker behind brands like Robinsons, Tango and Lipton and a global partner of PepsiCo, faced mounting pressure from fast-moving competitors and partners to modernize its IT. The company relied on SAP and a patchwork of about 140 legacy interfaces (many one-offs) and costly EDI connections, which limited automation, transparency and digital customer engagement across its supply chain.
Rather than attempt a risky rip-and-replace, Britvic deployed the Boomi AtomSphere iPaaS to connect SAP-native systems, partner portals and third-party apps (including a Retail Execution order interface on Kantar’s XTEL, ADP, Dynamics 365 and asset/field service systems). Eight months in, Boomi has sped data transfer, improved data quality, increased automation, promoted an “integration by default” mindset and cut development time via low-code, with plans to extend integrations to employee data and field servicing.
