Barry University, a Catholic institution in Miami serving 7,400+ students, needed to modernize fragmented, paper-heavy enrollment and HR systems so admissions and recruitment teams could make faster, data-driven decisions and remain resilient to disruptions. Its on‑prem ERP, student information system (SIS) and homegrown portal were unintegrated, creating slow manual workflows and limiting the university’s ability to convert prospects and adapt quickly—especially during events like COVID‑19.
Barry implemented a cloud-first stack and Boomi to integrate Salesforce Sales Cloud, Workday, the SIS, student portal and external data sources, completing 180+ integrations to automate admissions and recruitment processes. The result: admissions decisions sped up from 30 to 5 days (6× faster), prospect-to-applicant conversion rose 48%, the university gained a growing 360° view of students, and its flexible cloud infrastructure enabled a campus-wide shift to remote operations and learning in about a week.
